Members of Rutland County Council voted to accept a new Constitution was accepted.
Mr Trevor Lovell (Independent) - OAKHAM NORTH WEST WARD was given a lot of time to speak about his issues relating to the changes.
From what I could gather from the long debate due to "generosity" of
Mr Edward Baines (Conservative) - MARTINSTHORPE WARD (Chairman of the Council)
It would seem now the Council have agreed to Elect a leader to serve for a 4 year term and the leader will have the power to select all his or her cabinet members and committee members.
Mr Roger B Begy (Conservative) - GREETHAM WARD (Leader of the Council) said many issues would be sorted like trading horses before a leader was elected.
Rutland County have decided not to go down the route of appointing a Rutland Mayor.
