After last years Christmas tree fiasco, Oakham Town Council
have decided to put Cllr Lowe in charge of the Christmas Tree
for 2015.
Details about this years tree emerged today on Rutland Radio.
The cost is more than three times that of previous years, this
is due to the council using a non local firm Lite Ltd who are charging
a large sum of money for Delivery, Installation and removal.
Last year the tree replaced after public criticism and a Facebook
campaign.
Cllr Lowe was seen on BBC East Midlands Today supporting
the residents opinion, he told the reporter it was important
for the council to listen to people.
This was very quickly disproved when at the following council meeting he
spoke his true feelings
The whole thing and The Facebook Campaign was described as "overkill"
