Oakham Town Council Notice of Vacancy Oakham South February 2020
Oakham Town Council appear to have failed to publish this notice on their website.
Instead the Clerk is requesting letters from anyone who wishes to be co-opted this is not
the correct procedure, typical of Oakham Town Council
The vacancy has arisen due to Cllr Ian Gordon Razzell which is very disappointing after I worked so hard to help him get elected. As useless as the other who hardly attends meetings.
I don't think our pointless town council will ever get sorted. So we actually get a Town Council that actually does more for the town than clean a couple of parks, put up Christmas lights and a few ugly hanging baskets. The localism act permits them to do so much more for our town but they don't. they can't even produce a local neighbourhood plan 4 years on and many thousands spent and hardly any of that was grant money due to the pig headed nature of those tasked with sorting a plan for us.
Even though Rutland County Council recognise the plan is not fit for purpose I am led to believe they are happy to push to referendum so not to spoil their local plan. It is a disgrace.
And it appears most people in our town don't care that we have a defective town council and appear to be very happy to pay hard earned money to keep it going.
