Oakham Mayor Adam Lowe Spends Public Money on Wine From Adnams
It seems once again Oakham Town Council has forgotten public money is
not meant to be spent on Wines, Beer or Spirits.
The Chairman's allowance or fund as described in the towns accounts
should be spent on travel and other basic expenses.
Cllr Lowe spent £75 at Adnam's on wine, a similar amount of money paid in
a week to Job Seekers who he and his fellow Tories describe as spongers.
I raised the misuse of public money when Cllr Lucas was Mayor, she sat
smiling when I raised the new recent expenditure at the last council meeting.
I askedthe council why they had gone back on their pledge not to spend public
money on such items as booze for their parties or civic events?
No reply was given.
I am not sure why Councillor Lucas was smiling? she also spent considerable
more public money on wine, from The Wine Emporium, Mill Street £105
I can see her running of to the police right now....
