The Neighbourhood Plan for Oakham seems to be working backwards
and is not inclusive.
When it was proposed we were all told it would be led by the community
and not a dictator from Oakham Town Council.
Since the group learnt Melton Mowbray's plan was thrown out by the
inspector for lack of public consultation, the Oakham group has now
decided to leaflet drop the whole of Oakham.
If you were to visit a steering group meeting you would see the same old
faces.
The groups slogan is a big joke as a resident and a Councillor my experience
of the group is exclusion led by the deputy Mayor Michael Haley
I have recorded all the events and will be reporting them to the inspector
when the group present their plan progress to the inspector.

A report presented to Oakham Town Council last night by Michael Haley shows these
cost £1500 and £375 of you money.
I have heard the group is only now seeking grants, none of the group attended an
event put on over a year ago at Rutland County Council where those who attended
were told grants to cover costs will be stopping this year.
This will arrive in this envelope, Cllr Haley friends certainly knows
how to spend public money
