Rutland County Council Leader Terry King Answers Martin Brookes Question about Scaffolding Expense
Rutland County Council wasted £3,000 of taxpayers money erecting and taking down
scaffold at the rear of Rutland County Library here in Oakkham
Cllr King attempts to compare the expenditure with that a supermarket might or did spend
during consultation for an application. That might have been a good comparison if the
public consultation period had not passed.
We were also told in the meeting that Rutland Scaffold had also made a big mistake
a planning officer had asked for the scaffold to be erected to show the footprint and
visual impact of the proposed extension, the made it to big, so this did not give a
true or accurate model.
I also question who Cllr King is being honest to. Me or the County Councillor who
he apparently told it should not have been erected in the first place and it was a planning
officers mistake?
Of course we will never know the truth and this £3000 can just be added to the millions
this Tory Council has lost residents over the years.
