Oakham Town Council, Speed Idictators, Swooning Bridge and Mount Pleasant
Oakham Town Council all agreed that Rutland County Council should install them.
Cllr Lucas (Libdem) pointed out there was no need to hurry as the temporary traffic lights
at the entrance to the new Jeakins Wier housing estate where doing a grand job.
Cllr Stan Stubbs (Conservative) said before moving to Oakham he often visited
and whilst driving through the twon he found one of the best feauture were the
speed indicators becasue they notified him of his speed and when he slowed down
to the correct speed the thanked him and that was very nice.
