Sainsbury Oakham, Oakham Town Council, Jim Harrison, GrumpyJag, Oakham People

Former Mayor and Ex Town Councillor Jim Harrison.

Calls to kick out Town Councillors.

Rather strange to think he would  post such a request on Oakham People.

I find it a little bit amusing that a man who resigned, when I became a councillor and I  called for the removal of some very awful councillors from the Town Council.

Many have gone and there will more to follow.

Now Mr Harrison is calling for the whole council to be removed for voting against the Sainsbury's;'application.

Mr Harrison has  also mentioned democracy.

What happened on Wednesday was laughingly the result of democracy that has failed.

None of the town councillors have a mandate from the public. Unelected by the people.

At Wednesdays meeting I heard comments so stupid, like it is not our job as town councillors to tell Sainsbury's how they should change their plans.

So please tell me, what is your role Oakham Town Council?

Spend Spend is your unacceptable role,

Finally you have woken up and admitted you are income led and not project led.

You have said you can not implement change before next years budget?

You don't communicate with the public.

I agree with and support Mr Harrsion's call on Oakham People and suggest one difference.

You should not be replaced, The council should be scrapped.

Whilst shopping in Tesco this evening I was stopped by a number of people who asked what is wrong with the Town  Council. I won't publish my full responses, just to say the question I asked why they did not
attend or express their wishes? They replied we did last time and we saw the way the idiots conducted
themselves. I remember that meeting well there was a lot of public present and Cllr Lucas chaired the meeting like a puppet from Spitting Image and as I attempted to speak at the council table as a councillor she told me to "shut my mouth" more than once horrible woman.

Good to see Mr Harrison exercising his right of freedom of expression,

Find out who voted aqainst the application then throw them off the council at the next election and replace them with people who will listen to what we are saying.
Democracy is a great thing-use it
