Dr George Ryegold is back! Amused Moose Laughter Awards Top 10 Comedy Show 2013, The Criterion

George Ryegold: Adulterated

Dr George Ryegold is back! Amused Moose Laughter Awards Top 10 Comedy Show 2013, Scotsman’s Top 5 Comedy Show at the Fringe 2012 and Winner of Best Show at Leicester Comedy Festival 2011. With all the characteristic grace and humility of a cornered wasp, George selflessly pits his formidable intellect against humanity’s ills and, if you’re very unlucky, lets slip a glimpse into the hidden pain of a tortured genius.

“The Doctor is in! And absolutely on form…Quite brilliant…Dr Ryegold, thank you for a memorable hour.”
★★★★ Kate Copstick (The Scotsman)

‘Tremendous fun…it’s stuff like this that makes the fringe great’
★★★★★ Three Weeks

'Addressing third world poverty and trends in pornography would seem straightforwardly topical if tackled by most comedians. But not for Dr George Ryegold. His scholarly, lexiconic examination of western attitudes to culture, debauchery and money is explosive. Slowly and carefully unwrapped, he immerses us in the most depraved, adulterated behaviour…This is deep, deep parody, tearing apart the faux-charity and propriety of the West, along with himself in the process, to challenge and change us.'

Ahir Shah: Anatomy, Leicester Comedy Festival, The Criterion

Ahir Shah: Anatomy

After enjoying a hit run at the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe, Ahir Shah brings his show ANATOMY to Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival for one night only. Utilising the medium of Funny Amplified Jokes, ANATOMY is an hour of precise, exacting, lucid stand-up about the body, the mind, knitwear and - well, y'know, that sort of thing.

Ahir thinks you'll enjoy it, but don't take his word for it; take the selectively quoted journalistic opinions of people you will probably never meet:

"A playful hour of unapologetically cerebral laughs [...] Anatomy is one of the most thoughtful and compelling hours you're likely to come across" - ★★★★ Fest

"Anatomy oozes wonderful, beautiful, almost poetic language [...] This is undoubtedly a comedian I could listen to for hours" - ★★★★ Broadway Baby

"Some jokes are inaccessible" - ★★★★ ThreeWeeks
