Letchworth Town Council will cease to exist on 31st March 2013


This should happen to Oakham  Town Council

Oakham Town Council has admitted it is income led.

It states it will take time to reverse this ?

It has an  over paid Clerk using a  former mayors own words  "any time you ask him to do anything
he runs off sick"

The Clerk is off sick once again, the official reason is he has a viral infection.

The unofficial reason  is the diet of Pizza and Wine since he became single is not good.

Oakham Town Council has increased the council tax bill this year, Why?

The Council gave no reason for this.

The un-elected 8 member agreed a budget where once again the Clerk picked the figures from the sky.

The budget allows him a substantial pay rise.

The Council still has no plan.

The councils admission it is income led, confirms the  Clerks comment, "our job is to collect the tax
and spend as we please"

I believe it suits this current council, if they make no effort to fill the vacant seats one has been vacant since 2010.

Local public apathy is also fine for them.

They can then set up friends in business with public money.

Referring to them  spending a quarter of their income setting up the private gym last year.
Of course the governments auditors ave agreed to look into this , possibly a little to late?
