Former Oakham School pupils Andrew Highfield and Tom Smith to take on Tough Guy challenge for charity

Taking place at the end of January, in freezing Winter conditions, Tough Guy™ is staged over a course of thirteen kilometres. You will need every last ounce of mental and physical strength you can muster to rise to this challenge. Your fear of heights, tight spaces, fire, water and electricity will be tested to the max. Everyone bar the very toughest will be beaten! It consists of a gruelling mud run followed by a beasting through 'The Killing Fields' assault course - not forgetting the barbed wire, cuts, scrapes, burns, dehydration, hypothermia, acrophobia, claustrophobia, electric shocks, sprains, twists, joint dislocation and broken bones with cure all hot tea/chocolate & biscuits you should be so lucky.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention we have to sign our own death warrant for legal reasons before we begin.
Both Tom's and my familes have been effected by Cancer in the past few years and we have seen first hand how difficult it can be on both those affected by cancer and the families round them.
