Why are the Bunting and Flags Flying in Oakham Town Centre?

This evening the secret has been revealed.

Cllr Joyce Lucas decided it makes the town look nice.

The Town Council agreed to waste even more taxpayers money
by giving her consent to fly flags and bunting in Mill Street.

Perhaps Oakham tax payers find the town looks nice and
don't mind thousands of pounds of their money being
spent in this way?
