Wilkin Chapman Dave Hayward Investigation Rutland County Council to Spend Thousands on a Three Month Investigation into Oakham Town Council Complaints

Wilkin Chapman Dave Hayward Investigation Rutland County Council to
Spend Thousands on a Three Month Investigation into Oakham Town Council Complaints

Just because the old guard don't like Councillors who ask questions.

How much more public money is Rutland County Council planning to spend
to stop me doing my job as an Oakham Town Councillor?

The costly investigation has been triggered by Mrs Mogg Rutland County
Councils monitoring officer after receiving a high volume of complaints
from Oakham Town Councillors and a former Mayor some are just plain
nasty, and even libelous.

I suspect the CEO Helen Briggs and the Tory Old guard are responsible
for this additional costs.

Most are complaints were submitted after Oakham's Mayor asked Councillors.

The unknown expenditure is becoming a cause for concern for some Rutland
County Councillors and myself.

Total Police costs, Court Costs and Legal Costs are now more than million pounds
since 2010.

What does Oakham Town Council have to hide that warrants such high costs?

This investigation will not achieve anything.

As one Tory Rutland Councillor told me the other day Oakham Town Council
needs to start being a proper council.

They need to stop excluding and being so childish because this cost is unfair
to the taxpayer.

I have written and spoken to Mr Hayward and suggested he refers to my responses
given to Rutland County Council. So many hours of my time has been
wasted and I am not willing to waste anymore or add to the taxpayers bill.

I will continue to ask questions Oakham Town Council don't want to hear,
like how did the council authorise payment of a large invoice when
there is no contract or purchase order or approval of the full council and
why are we expected to do the same at the next council meeting.

Letter from Wilkin Chapman I wonder how much this has
cost the Rutland Taxpayers
