chuggers, Oakham, Rutland, WWF
Last week the chuggers were attempting to get passer-bys to sign up an support a charity
for deaf children, this week it was WWF. What will it be next week?
This chuggers are very smiley and friendly.
After watching a documentary about this form of employment, even if I had the money
I would not sign the direct debit. I would prefer to chose the charity and give direct.
The documentary pointed out on average the company takes £150 in charges so if a
person gives £10 a month for a year and stops the charity gets nothing.
They rely on people signing up and forgetting, must be nice to have so much money
you don't notice it leaving your account.
