What's going for it? The time comes in a person's life when one starts to appreciate a place like Oakham. This is not somewhere to waste on twentysomethings or teenagers, who know little of the delights that lie within a historic market town. Boarders at its illustrious private school must be just that: bored. But when you hit 42… Oh, boy! Watch out, Oakham! Just hold us back! At a time when libraries are being closed down and the very future of the book is being
questioned, let's give a cheer for the book swap. Organized last year by the UK newspaper,
the Guardian, think of it as a generous act of recycling.

When you  have finished reading your book, why not place a note inside like the one below and leave the book in a public place for another to enjoy. You don't need to waste resources by printing such a glossy label as the one below. I once found a book on the bench opposite Wilko here in Oakham it just had a scrap of paper inside.
