"I have a big worry about future parking in Oakham. The council car park is currently closed, because its being used for the vaccination centre. South Street car park is already full most days, because council staff are parking there..... what will happen when the shops open in 3 weeks???? I was thinking the council could possibly put on a park and ride from The Enterprise park??? It will be an issue"!
With Lockdown slowly being lifted people are starting to worry about other issues that cause concern here in Oakham.
Parking and Rutland County Council is always high on the agenda.
I wonder if a park ride service would be ever be used many towns have tried it and its failed, some have been successful.
A lot of people moan here in Oakham that they have to pay for parking in the first place so I wonder if they would pay the extra bus fare?
The car park at the council offices is being used for a good purpose and looks likely to continue for some months.
The museum car park has lost a number of spaces to the children's centre and the council cars.
I wonder if Rutland County Council should not be considering a park and ride service for its staff as they return to work and perhaps the shop owners, workers and other business owners that operate from the town centre?
