It would be good if Oakham had a Arts Centre, Just like Stamford. Come to think about it, that may have been possible. If the £100,000 Arts Council grant had not be wasted on Champagne trips to the Curve and other out of county activities for the Elite few.
Councillor Peter Jones has said we may not get a grant this year. That is no surprise really. The Arts Council said there was no strings attached to the grant, but I am sure previous spending is considered.
