Dave Burton a Local Oakham Taxi driver who works for Berridge Taxi's and a close friend of Ex Cllr  Jim Harrison is a homophobic bully.


He twitterr hate from his cab and this is seen as acceptable by the local police and Rutland County Council who licence him. 


His constant twitter is harassment.

I am also concerned for the School children Rutland County Council put in his charge for school runs 

To hold a Taxi licence you agree to standards, the standards are very much simmillar to those he expects from Councillors. And so they should be you would not want to get into just any old stranger car would you?

He is now expecting tips from school children an outrage

I would say his man is more of a danger to the local community than I am. He has the cheek to support Mr Harrison by tweeting his blog.

Oakham Town Council Cosmetic Waste NEW BENCHES IN CUTTS CLOSE

Oakham Town Council  Announces in these times of hardship
NEW BENCHES IN CUTTS CLOSE

Six new benches will be installed adjacent to the Toddlers' Play Area in Cutts Close. 

The benches are cast iron with wooden slats. and will replace the concrete and wood benches currently sited there. 

It is anticipated that these will be installed in early March. 

The Council apologises in advance for any disruption this may cause, particularly as the old benches will need be removed prior to the new ones being installed. (an obvious observation and such a waste)

This may mean a lack of seating in that area of the park for a day or two. 

The installation of these is the start of the gradual replacement of all the old style concrete and wood benches in the park.


The cost of the benches and their installation is expected to be £4500.

(why expected cost why no quotes?) (Spend spend is the motto of Oakham Town Council) (I was pleased to see Cllr Lucas saw sense on Wednesday and did not vote for this waste, it must have been hard for her)
