Oakham War Memorial
The memorial is currently being cleaned.
Oakham Town Council
received a grant of
£1095 towards the total cost
of £2170.00 from
Oakham Memorial Institute.
A few years ago the town council clean the memorial
and some residents complained it looked no cleaner.
The Town Council pointed out it was the type of stone.
Very grey when new.
Closer inspection should show the moss
has gone after this work is completed
So we shall have a very clean memorial, for this years
remembrance day parade.
