Contractor Litter Oakham and Rutland Streets
Yesterday a member of the public telephoned me to express concern about the above contractor. They had seen many pallets like the one pictured above around Oakham and surrounding Rutland.I contacted Rutland County Council, they said they would send out some one to remove this one and another at the junction of Queen Street and Burly Road.
This morning the pallets had not been removed many have nails protruding and are a danger to young children locally.
fortunately local residents this morning decided the pallet photographed above would make suitable firewood and removed it.
I am sure that is a good use for all the other and will save the council a considerable amount of money removing and disposing of them.
