Police Called to Victoria Hall Oakham


Police were called to Victoria Hall Oakham on Sunday around 1.00pm




Cllr Martin Brookes was abused by Mr Tolkien from Uppingham.

Cllr Martin Brookes accepted Mr Tolkien’s apology. Before the police arrived

Mr Tolkien admitted his guilt to Leicestershire Police officer, Cllr Martin Brookes agreed to the police giving Mr Tolkien a caution for a section 5 public order offence.

Mr Tolkien explained he was stressed. Cllr Brookes said stressed or not Mr Tolkien’s behaviour was totally unacceptable and should not be tolerated. He whole heartedly agrees with Rutland Police Commander Inspector Johnny Monk’s “We have laws to be preserved.” His recent press comment.
