While Rutland County have produced this guide, they say responsibility for running the activity lies with the provider of each activity.
Parents and carers need to be sure they are satisfied that the activity provider meets the needs of their child and the correct procedures are in place.
It is recommended that parents and carers seek evidence that adults interacting with children during activities hold a current Criminal Records Bureau Check (CRB) and that the provider has suitably qualified staff, policies, procedures, insurance and registration in place for the activity being provided.
