OAKHAM WAR MEMORIAL
The War Memorial in All Saints Churchyard is currently being sympathetically cleaned. The work is being paid for by Oakham Town Council and the Trustees of the Memorial Institute.
Above is the official press release from Oakham Town Council.
Not quite true, I passed today and watched a man soaking wet, jet blasting the stonework with water, I hope he does not blow the heads of the little sculptures.
I am sure English Heritage would not say this was not a sympathetic way to clean?
