Oakham Town Council approved a budget of £800 to cover costs of the live entertainment at the Christmas late night shopping event 13th December.
This will include a group from Melton and sponsorship of the local buses to provide free travel to and from the event.
Also an appearance fee for Rutland Radio's Rob to appear. Cllr Tor Clark said he wondered who Rob thought he was requesting a fee! he is no Dale Lee Travis. Who is he these day's at least residents know who Rob is.
He suggested BBC Radio Leicester might jump at the chance to appear and not charge. Who listen to BBC local radio? Oakham in Rutland not Leicester last time I looked and the signal is very week.
