The Recession Continues here in Oakham.
Today I am told another Oakham home owner has lost their home, the mortgage company has been to court to obtain a repossession order. The crazy thing about this is, the government only pays mortgage interest for a short period of time. The unemployed home owner will now move into privately rented accommodation and the rent will be paid and yes the rent costs more than the mortgage interest payments.
I also found today another local shop is looking for a buyer, if this fails they may close.
