Annual Meeting of Oakam Town Council Wednesday 18th May 2011
The start of the meeting has been brought forward due to the noise nuisance created from RATS upstairs.
The meeting will now start at 6.00pm
The Current Mayor and Deputy Chairman Councillors Sharon Spencer and Mark Woodcock are refusing to chair this meeting and have sent the office their apologies. They both step down and will no longer be Councillors.
The remaining six Councillors will elect a new Chairman and Deputy Chairman.
The Council will not be discussing Co-option of new Councillor at this meeting as incorrectly stated in this weeks Rutland Times. I believe this should be discussed asap, so the council can attract people who wish to serve their community and possible bring fresh visions.
