Council Tax Payers Money Abused by Oakham Town Council, 100th Birthdays
Oakham Town Council once again is abusing council tax payers money
We recently saw in the local press how our Mayor Councillor Joyce Lucas joined in pre-celebrations of a Honorary Alderman who will reach the grand age of 100 in December 2011. As town Councillors we were asked how should the town council celebrate this achievement.
My first question was, with no disrespect to the gentleman who was this man and what had he done.
Cllr Lucas till this day has refused to answer the question.
Cllr Alf Dewis said he has done so much for the town.
Other councillors have asked the same question.
I found this man is a good friend of the old guard at Oakham Town Council and Rutland County Council,
So I guess that justifies spending council tax payers money on his celebrations.
Last week three other residents celebrated their 100th Birthday
Congratulations to them I am sorry Oakham Town Council felt you were not even worthy of receiving a simple card.
This clearly shows how selfish and egotistic the like of Cllr Lucas and Dewis are!
Belated greetings to:
and a Happy 100th Birthday
Mr Hugh Eaton
Mrs. Jack Dalby and
Mrs. Betty Noble
