Just received the following message regarding Rutland County Councils accounts.
I hear that last year's rcc accts will have to be changed before this year's can be passed!
Not sure what this means yet.
I am awaiting a freedom of information request to find out why Rutland County Councils Accounts show a payment was made to Oakham Town Council last August. The payment was not received or expected by Oakham Town Council.
The Town Clerk said the payment may have been paid to Oakham Town Partnership but listed as a payment to Oakham Town Council in error. It still does explain if this is true why they were paid any money in the first place because Oakham Town Council paid the 50% of the Invoice the payment it relates to.
I have also asked why Rutland County Council paid £27,000 to a Leicester Town Partnership.
Going back to the original message received I can't see how accepted account can be changed.
I wonder if the Council has found a few million pounds again....
