Rutland County Council Social Worker writes to local residents seeking free parking.
From November Rutland County Council will be charging all staff to park in the council car park.
The social worker suggests if residents allowed council staff to use their drives to park instead
of paying the council, they would benefit because any one looking to case their joint for a possible burglary maybe deterred by seeing a car in the drive.
I have heard this work in London but in general the motorist pay the house owner.
