Rutland Local Development Framework, Racism at Oakham Town Council
Once again racism raised its ugly head at Oakham Town Council.
This time during a meeting hosted by planning staff from Rutland County Council.
Cllr Maureen Dodds ask planning officer was it true immigrants were moving into the new homes being
built on Cold Overton Road, She asked what she should tell local residents who were concerned about this
possible development. She aired her disaproval and felt Rutland County Council should be doing something
about it.
She had previously aired her views on our way to another meeting, saying residents are far as Mendip Road were worried about a losing value on their homes.
