Disabled people to be banished permanently from public footpath to save council costs
Oakham Town Council have decided it would be cheaper to banish disabled people from a Cutts Close footpath.
They have agreed to replace the temporary barries blocking access to the path with bollards
Signs will be put a both ends of the path.
Reading:
Caution Uneven Narrow Path
unsuitable for wheelchair or
mobility scooters.
Quotes will be obtained to repair the path.
Cllr Locket suggest the council should allow the path to naturally vanish after members were told English Heritage would not approve the removal of the path.
