All will be revealed…..a letter of invitation is being sent out to all members, plus past Mayors tomorrow.

The date for your diary is 15th December.

The venue this year has been changed to Oakham Castle.

The Mayor is treating us (with your money) As soon as I have the full details, I will publish them.
I have also requested to cost.
I understand the seating is restricted to 125, a Rutland County Council Health and Safety requirement. If lots more people turn up and the weather is fine, maybe we can have the concert in the grounds.

I believe the retirement collection will support the Mayors charity the Oakham Branch of the Royal British Legion.
Going by last years attendance at All Saints Church Oakham and the amount raised for the previous Mayors charity this could be a costly event. I have requested details of the costs, in the past the church had not charged to host the event and took a share of the collections. This year the council has paid for the hire of the castle and purchased a public performance licence, from Rutland County Council.
