Cutts Close Green Flag Oakham
I do hope Oakham Town Council is awarded the green flag next year.
Work is still in progress to erect a flag for the award won earlier this year.
The Clerks reported to the council:
He has now received a method statement for the installation of the flag pole. There are some issues that need to be resolved but this will then form part of the Scheduled Monument Consent.
The planning application for the flagpole requires an image of how it will look in situ and enquiries are being made as to how this could be achieved as the office does not have the facilities to produce such an image
Cllr John Nowell offered his photoshop expertease.
The flag pole will will be supplied and installed, subject to planning permission being received, by Harrison External Displays limited at a total estimated cost of £769. He said the reason for the estimated cost is because the company may need to conduct a site survey that may have an impact on the total. However, the
company are aware that there are no issues with access and that the ground is flat so they do not anticipate any change to the quoted amount.
