Man bitten by dog in Oakham

Police are appealing for the owner of a dog to come forward after a man was bitten in Oakham.
The incident happened in Welland Way at about 2.10pm on Monday December 12, when the 38-year-old man was bitten on the hand by a boxer dog that was being walked by a woman.
The dog was on a lead at the time of the incident but the bite required hospital treatment.

PC Adam Ploszczanski, the investigating officer, said: “The woman walking the dog did offer to help the man and leave her details at the time of the incident but due to shock the man didn’t accept them.
“I would like to talk to the woman and would ask her to call us and help us with our enquiries.”
