Serious incident in Robin Crescent Melton Mowbray

Robin Crescent Melton Mowbray Neighbours Name Robin Crescent Victims Former Police Inspector Tobias Day

 


The victims, named by neighbours as former policeman Tobias Day, his wife Sam ... in Robin Crescent, Melton Mowbray

 Mr Day was a former police inspector  was based at Beaumont Leys Police Station

  Toby Day was once the traffic sergeant at Oakham police station, and also general secretary of the Police Cycling Federation.

He was also involved with the  Rutland-Melton CiCLE Classic

He also raised money for chaity he completed the Flora London Marathon 2008 and Raised: £1769.20
for crime stoppers
  he ran the marathon on behalf of Pc Melissa Ward, tragically killed at her Oakham flat by her ex-partner in January 2007.

Sadly this appears to all ending with Leicester Constabulary sacking him last week, I had wondered why his twitter account was closed. Another tragic case for Leicestershire Constabulary to add to its we have learnt from this file.


Robin Crescent Melton Mowbray is cordoned off as police carry out forensic investigations

Serious incident in Melton
Police received a report at about 4.23pm this afternoon (Thursday December 8) that a 15-year-old girl had been injured in the Melton area, the victim was taken to hospital.
During the initial investigation police attended an address in Melton and forced entry to the house and discovered two children and two adults with injuries.
A man, a woman and a child from the address have since died.  Two children are being treated at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham for serious injuries.
We are in the initial stages of the investigation but at this stage we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
The house has been cordoned off to allow for a forensic examination.
Post mortem examinations are due to take place at a later stage.
