A TORY MP has sparked fury by branding northerners boozed-up smokers who are addicted to unprotected sex.

Southerner Anne Milton’s shameful stereotyping came during a debate on why people living in poverty-stricken areas of the North East die younger than other areas.
The MP for posh Guildford in the Surrey stockbroker belt tried to blame the ailments of people in communities shattered by Tory cuts on the “irresponsible” behaviour of the individuals themselves.

The Tory MP has touched on an issue that is effecting all of our country, drinking to much and binge drinking at weekends creates problems for Oakham's residents, This was raised at the recent meeting of the police authority, I mentioned this on this blog and comment a was placed 'there was not a serious problem'. The problem is people who can do something about this drink issue won't recognise there is a problem and they do they make the mistake of labelling just one group of people.

My trouble started locally when I complained about the conduct of a local Conservative woman who was a Councillor and became the town's mayor.

It's not just the Conservatives who at any given alleged opportunity reach for the bottle.

And lets not forget the Royal Wedding Party, last year another former mayor filmed one
of our former Mayors and doing this at the drunken morning garden party attended by many
ex Mayor and Councillors.

At the recent election count I chatted with the husband of the Conservative candidate and this raised the issue of cheap supermarket booze. It was his first time canvassing on the doorstep and said he was shocked by what he found in Uppingham, one woman open here door he explained the purpose of his visit, thanked him many times for coming to help her and promptly  grabbed him and kissed him. He said he was clearly very drunk.

Rutland County Council published concerns in the chief executives report about the councils performance one of the high risk matters was health costs due to drink.
