The Big Jubilee Lunch Leicester
Alongside celebrations across the nation, Leicester are holding a special Diamond Jubilee Big Lunch at the Big Screen.
Bring your friends, family and a picnic and join in all the fun of an old fashioned street party as the magnificent jubilee flotilla is shown on the screen from
12noon - 5.00pm
The Big Lunch was originally initiated by the Eden project. Since starting in 2009, thousands of Big Lunches have taken place in all kinds of communities across the UK. In 2012 it will be adopted as part of the national Diamond Jubilee official celebrations.
Leicester City Council says Street parties are also encouraged to take place between 2nd - 5th June to support the national celebrations. For further information about organising one in your community, visit Street Parties.
