National Personal Safety Day Suzy Lamplugh Trust

This year National Personal Safety Day will take place on 8th October and will be coupled with the Tech No Chances campaign, both run by the Suzy Lamplugh Trust (www.suzylamplugh.org).

National Personal Safety Day aims to get as many people as possible throughout the UK thinking about their personal safety and giving them simple advice on how they can to reduce the risks of becoming a victim of violence and aggression. With your help again this year, we can help the Suzy Lamplugh Trust reach even greater numbers of people than ever before.

The aim of this year’s Tech No Chances campaign is to give people some useful tips on how to ensure that their technology helps to improve their safety as opposed to putting them and their belongings at risk.

Campaign Events

As with previous years, the support of National Personal Safety Day 2012 is extremely flexible.  Suzy Lamplugh Trust supplies the tools and support but leaves the organisation of individual events and activities to the local experts.

If you decide to organise events/activities in support of the campaign, both NHWN and the Suzy Lamplugh Trust would love to hear about them. Please do send us information about your plans when they’re finalised by emailing enquiries@ourwatch.org.uk or Jo Walker of the Suzy Lamplugh Trust on jo.walker@suzylamplugh.org

Campaign Resources

See attached for the pdfs of the campaign posters and leaflets which are available to order in two formats:

  1. You can email Jo Walker at jo.walker@suzylamplugh.org  with the number of hard copies you require (with full delivery address) and these will be couriered to you in September. These will be as attached, apart from the sponsor’s logo has still to be added to the bottom corner. (NB. Please order in multiples of 500 for leaflets and 25 for posters.)
  2. If you would like to have your own logo added to the posters and/or leaflets, please forward Jo (jo.walker@suzylamplugh.org) the appropriate logo and she will add that to the pdfs and forward the amended pdfs to you. You will then be free to print as many as you require from this yourselves.  (NB. If you decide on this option, please let the Suzy Lamplugh Trust know for their records the final numbers printed and given out.)
