Theft of Catalytic Converters in Rutland overnight
Overnight in the county there has been eight reported thefts from 4x4 vehicles of catalytic converters.
The reports have occurred in Barleythorpe, Cottesmore, Empingham, Great Casterton, Langham, Oakham & Uppingham.
The vehicles targeted have been Ford Rangers, Isuzu, Land Rover Freelander and Mitsubishi.
Clearly criminals have targeted our county to steal catalytic converters from 4x4 vehicles.
Due to the scrap value of metal this crime is on the increase and we are working with surrounding forces to target criminals, scrap dealers and alert our community.
