Garden nursery in Langham broken into and items stolen
Officers from Rutland local policing unit are appealing for public help after a burglary at a garden nursery in Langham.The incident took place sometime between 6.30pm on Saturday (March 17) and 7.30am on Sunday (March 18) at Zetland Plants in Burley Road, when the grounds of the property were broken into and a number of items were stolen.
Amongst the items stolen were some Mountfield tools including a red and black mower, 6’ strimmer, a 3’ and 6’ hedge cutter, loose change, more than 200 free range eggs, unleaded petrol, diesel and a petrol generator.
PC Bryan Sladen is investigating the incident, he said: “Due to the number of items stolen during the incident the perpetrators may have used a vehicle, did you see any vehicles or anyone acting suspiciously in the area over the weekend?
“We would also like to speak to anyone who has been approached by someone selling any of the items or knows someone who has recently acquired them. Any calls received will be treated in confidence.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 1453 Bryan Sladen on 101*, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 1453.
