The first half of the precept has been received and £90000 has been transferred into Oakham Towns Council’s Deposit Account
Precept
The Clerk was delighted to inform Cllrs at Wednesdays meeting:
The first half of the precept has been received and £90000 has been transferred into the Council’s Deposit Account, pending any decision taken later on in the meeting regarding investments.
The Council hope to make money while it decides how it will spend your money over the next year.
Your money received of which at least 80% will be spent on Administrating the Town Council.
Your money the council receives could buy around 2 small family homes here in Oakham, to house those who have lost their homes recently. Due to the current difficult times. I imagine they also struggled to pay their council tax bills!
