Large Tree Lost Cutts Close Due To Rutland County Council Neglect
A large tree sadly was chopped down in Cutts Close
today. The Tree was on castle land making it
the responsibility of Rutland County Council
and not Oakham Town Council.
Oakham Town Council last year asked
Rutland County Council if they could cut
the large over hanging branches because they
feared the tree was getting to big.
In this case they were correct the extra weight
caused a split in the tree. The tree surgeon
confirmed the tree was not diseased.
