He should be giving her the Boot!



I can't say I am surprised to be reading more letters published in this weeks Rutland Times, from Rutland County Councillors.

I am not surprised to see The Tory Leader Roger Begy supporting The Iron Boot! Tory chief Executive Helen Briggs.  I am sure deep down he knows she has over stepped the mark, by writing to the local press last week.

A member of Rutland County Councils staff said "I cant comment because any public comment would get me the sack" I think that says it all. Why does the same rule not apply to Helen Briggs?

The Council should be sacking the Iron boot, or does her contract allow her to do as she pleases? just like the town clerk.

The tit for tat that is played out in the local press for some weeks, is bringing our District Council into disrepute.

This week as a special treat a letter is published from a Former County Councillor Alan Hodgkinson also a sponsor at Tory Roger Begys golf club. The content of the letter is clearly supporting Helen and Roger and his gang, verging on insulting Cllr Gale and his abilities.

The next few weeks should be interesting reading as Roger Begy seeks more out more of his troops to become letter writers to support the conduct of this dreadful Tory council. I wonder how many more chums he has at the golf club or will we see letters from the likes  Cllrs Plews and King referring to fellow councillors as Idiots or will the keep that sort of political tit for tat to emails using equipment paid for by the tax payer?

This morning I received a complaint, because I described the Chief Executive as Rutlands answer to the Iron Lady. The Tory Voter said describing Helen Briggs in this way was an insult to the memory and achievements of Lady Thatcher and in no way did Helen Briggs deserve such an honour. I must apologise to any Lady Thatcher fans, it was never meant as a compliment and I hope the term Iron Boot is more realistic as I can see you have to be as tough as old an boot to be a Chief Executive for this Tory Gang. And her conduct towards me has shown she is just that!

I do find it funny a Tory is complains when I inadvertently compliment a Tory supporter like Helen Briggs, I think it shows clearly what a bunch of idiots the Rutland Tories are.

Now before any Rutland Tory Complains please remember Rutland County Councils Standards, ruled there was no problem with Rutland Tory Gene Plews using public services in his case sending emails referring to me as a  idiot to fellow Tories
