Town Council for the Jubilee Part on June 5th
We now have a time and everyone is welcome, I wonder if they really mean everyone I would not want the police called if I was to attend and dare to eat a free hamburger or other tasty free snack. Remembering Mince Pie Gate of Christmas 2011.
One other point that puzzles me and this is now repeated on the Town Council website.
Celebrity Stocks
Celebrity? when I attended the last parks and planning meeting we were told all Councillor had volunteered for the stocks.
Surely Oakham Town Councillors have not become so deluded that they now feel they have celebrity status?
When Cllr Haworth attempted to big up the stock he mentioned an artist would be painting them and the then Mayor said its only.....
Diamond Jubilee Party in the Park
Tuesday 5th June 2012 in Cutts Close.
The
event will start at 1.00pm and will finish at approximately 7.00pm.
There will be over 30 stalls as well as free amusements for all ages.
Confirmed attractions so far are:
Rodeo Bull, Human Bar Fly, Paint-A-Portrait of the Queen, Fun Dog Show,
Face
Painting, Bungee Eliminator, Dance Machine, Buzz Wire, Magic Balloon
Man, Bouncy Slide, Laser Tag, Celebrity Wet Sponge Stocks, W.I. Cakes,
Giant
Climbing Wall, Teas and Coffees, Charity Tombolas, Racing Simulators,
Human Wrecking Ball and a barbeque by the Lions Club of Rutland.
Rutland
Radio presenter Rob Persani will be compering the day, there will be
live music from Wrinkle Rock and the Rutland Morris Dancers will also be
performing.
All are welcome to attend to enjoy the activities and to help celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
