is Leicestershire police transparency as opaque as Rutland County Council transparency?

The Old Lady who wrote to The Rutland Times and subsequently received a threatening phone call.
Because she was critical of our council.

I am told this evening she reported this to Leicestershire Police and as one expects from this force they took no action, despite this being a criminal offence. Malicious communications act.

Is this a common I thing? I recently heard of other members of the public that have issues with Rutland County Council who also receive unwanted communications. They have also given information to Leicestershire Police and no action has been taken.

"is Leicestershire police transparency as opaque as Rutland County Council transparency?"

A lot of those who have issues with Rutland  County Cuncil have dealt with the planning department.

Others go back some time, as far back as Mr Carey's at Rutland County Council, He is not a nice chap he once sent me threatening and vile emails, he forgot to use a made up email account. It was hard to believe he
was also a Rutland County Council Standards Committee Member.

According to the Coventry Telegraph he went to work for the council there are was sacked.

I see from his online profile he went to work for Rutland Online they hosted the Rutland County Councils
Homophobic Rutland Chat Forum mainly used by a drunken group of Town Councillors and friends.

One even went onto become a County Councillor.

Due to an increasing amount of inappropriate, offensive and defamatory postings, the decision to remove the public forum from www.rutnet.co.uk was jointly taken by ROL Solutions and Rutland County Council.
Due to the nature of a web forum, ROL are unable to provide round-the-clock support to this facility, and offensive postings were in some cases not removed for 24-48 hours. This prompted complaints from local residents.
Despite repeated warnings during recent weeks, those using the forum continued to ignore forum guidelines and the decision was taken to shut the forum facility.
