Oakham Town Council 2015 2016 Budget Council Tax Increase 1.4% Clerk Pay increase 2.2%

Oakham Town Council will this Wednesday approve their nonsense budget a legal requirement.

I describe it as nonsense because it means nothing Oakham Town Council describe it as a
flexed budget. Meaning they can change it as they go along and they often do.

Reading the report I am pleased to see it includes words which I have previously been attacked
for using in the past by the rotten old guard.

There is no apparent need to increase the reserves.
It is never very clear to myself and others how much of a reserve Oakham Town Council has stashed away.

Personally I have always looked at the spending over the years and think they don't
have a reserve. They do of course have a large debt.

If Cllr Guthrie took the same view as Cllr Lowe and the Mayor "it's not our job" the town council
would not be ready to approve this budget.
