Leicestershire Fire Authority Defer Decision To Dispose of The Second Fire Engine at Oakham Fire Station

Leicestershire Fire Authority Defer Decision To Dispose of The Second Fire Engine at Oakham Fire Station

The decision will be made at the next Fire Authority meeting
in April.

Something tells me they are waiting for the outcome of
Rutland County Councils budget meeting.

The County Council has offered to fund the engine for the
next two years.

I and others see this as double taxation and wonder how lawful
a decision to pay on top of the precept is?

Rutland Tories obviously hoping this will be a vote winner.

They must think we are stupid.

I assume this public money to come from tax payers reserves
or are they going to reduce the care of the elderly even further?

Perhaps reducing their appalling 15 minute visits to 5 ?
