Rutland County Council never learn
A member of staff was suspended on no pay for two weeks for giving out personal data
relating to names of those living in local authority housing.
Rutland County Council's says it takes all data protection issues seriously.
Last year Rutland County Council also had a laptop stolen and this has never
been recovered.
In 2011 I received an apology from the council when I found they were breaching
data protection regarding my personal details they apologise and repeated a similar
breach once again in 2013.
Their constant apologies means nothing. They can not be trusted with our personal
data.

Dear Mr Brookes,
Geoff Pook has advised me that you spoke to him regarding information containing your name which was disclosed as part of Ms.###### subject access request. Could I please apologise for this error on my part, which I sincerely hope has not caused you any distress. There was a significant amount of paper involved in complying with that particular request and I am sorry that this piece of appropriate redaction was missed. We have amended our processes to help prevent such an error occur again.
Regard
Lisa
