Oakham High Street is in a shocking state ex Cllr John Kennedy

Oakham High Street is in a shocking state ex Cllr John Kennedy

Can you just imagine the crap I would be subjected to if I was to make the
same comment publicly.

The town is not in a shocking state.

I will say the street furniture which is mainly the responsibility of Rutland
County Council is in a shocking state.

As for empty shops those can be counted on one hand and as stated in the
the proper Times newspaper those that do become vacant don't remain
empty for to long.

What I find shocking is people who attack me for having an opinion
but then go ahead and publicly have an opinion slating our town.

My personal opinion is there are towns a lot worse than Oakham
and probably also tainted by nasty political hypocrites.

Hypocrites that tell me it is wrong for me to express my opinion or
findings publicly, whilst exercising their freedoms to do the same
is that not dictatorial behavior?

Oakham Shopping

Oakham High Street is in a shocking state, full of empty shops, charity shops & hairdressers, very little else. Sainsburys have pulled out altogether, Tesco have shelved plans to expand their store and we hear nothing from Waitrose, who at one point were desperate to come to Oakham.
At least we have Aldi to look forward to.
Is there anything we can do to encourage new retailers to Oakham?

Oakham is a happy place to live, people can often be found singing and
dancing along our High Street! well maybe that is a little exaggeration.

And a special note for the ex Mayor Paul Beech

Since when has your name been Mr Dewis read things properly
before accusing me of lying!

and of course the ex Mayor Mr Dewis
as a member of the public. Odd he even wanted to be involved when
you consider his past comments and delaying tact ticks.
He once said "Uppingham will regret implementing their plan" how
silly was that comment we all know how successful that has been.

The memory sticks and card you are concerned about are not
a gift, They remain the property of Oakham Town Council
and are correctly recorded on the councils property register
and will be returned once the project is completed. It is a
matter of public record that these cost Oakham Town Council
a total of £18 and were sourced from the cheapest available
supplier. To provide best value for the taxpayers.

I will ignore your other daft comment and hope you can
make the 9th April event.
