Leicestershire Police looking into election fraud

It has been reported:

It's to do with last week's election for Leicestershire and Rutland's PCC.

Police have confirmed they're looking into allegations of election fraud during last weeks vote for Leicestershire and Rutland’s Police and Crime Commissioner.

It's reported UKIP have made the complaint, claiming a large number of postal votes were thrown out because the signatures did not match the official records.

Meanwhile the Conservatives have expressed concern at claims a suspiciously high number of postal votes were cast in some constituencies.

If they are really looking it to this I would say it is because the Conservatives who lost
have expressed concern.

Leicestershire Police have never been interested in the past when issues have been reported
to them by various none Conservatives here in Rutland.

As for the postal vote issue, postal votes should not be used the returning officer is given
far to much discretion on this matter.

I stopped using the postal vote after I witnessed my own voted rejected by the system
unfortunately in that case the returning officer overruled the machine and passed it if
I was not present I am sure she would have rejected it.
